DoubleTree by Hilton, Kuala Lumpur is pleased to receive Halal certification for the hotel’s Makan Kitchen restaurant and banquet kitchens.The certification is awarded by the Islamic Department of Malaysia (JAKIM) after an on-site inspection, evaluation and recommendation on Halal compliance.
Ian Barrow, general manager, DoubleTree by Hilton, Kuala Lumpur, said, “The certification is a form of social obligation and will help to boost the trust and confidence of our Muslim guests while dining with us. This initiative also benefits all guests as it covers not only religious requirements but also encourages strict hygiene practices and food safety.”
Makan Kitchen is the hotel’s signature restaurant with 350 seats. The locally inspired restaurant is a true showcase of Malaysian dining where speciality chefs dish up no less than six iconic local cuisines; from the popular Malay, Chinese, Indian to the more authentic Peranakan, Kristang and Iban delights, served from three distinct show kitchens. The restaurant offers daily Malaysian buffet lunch and dinner, and is popular with their Malaysian high tea on weekends.
DoubleTree by Hilton, Kuala Lumpur also offers state-of-the-art banqueting facilities at its pillarless Grand Ballroom which has a maximum capacity of 1,300 guests and nine meeting rooms. Led by a team of chefs and dedicated service crew, the hotel is able to cater to a wide range of events from large conferences, product launches, seminars, annual dinners to weddings.
